Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
A self help tapping technique based on Chinese Acupuncture energy meridians. We all have those self sabotaging beliefs we experience and hold onto consciously or subconsciously. This tricky subconscious plays reactions on a loop that you unconsciously memorized from a past trauma. Once it grabs hold it is hard to get back to the present moment.
In my ongoing search for tools to help with anxiety, life brought me Cara Graver. The simple, easy to learn technique of tapping (EFT) on different parts of the upper body were surprisingly helpful.
We will begin this workshop with a very gentle yoga stretch and flow led by Sheila. After becoming present to our mat and mind Cara will teach you the exact tapping points of the body (energy meridians) and phrases to say while tapping. Once the group feels like they have this down-let the healing begin!
We will be using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Pranayama (breath work), and Mindfulness during our Restorative Yoga postures to help rid the subconscious of beliefs that no longer serve you.
EFT is a tool to use on your own for relief of pain, injury, illness, anxiety, depression, insomnia and a host of other every day experiences. That is why you will leave with handouts on how to continue the practice.
EFT is safe and effective for use with children and people of all ages.
You will leave this workshop relaxed, renewed and more present!!
